Thank you all for your co-operation with the wearing of masks over the last week. Although this is no longer compulsory, we respect the desire of those members who wish to continue doing so. 

Some people have enquired about prize-givings. These will take place as planned in the week beginning 13 December.

We wish to bring your attention to the latest update from the Ministry of Health’s COVID-19 Response and Co-ordination team which states:

"Under Alert Level 2, private social gatherings (which includes Bridge club tournaments) can go ahead as long as they are limited to 100 people."

Here are some further guidelines for social gatherings at Alert Level 2

• You do not need to physically distance. 
• You do not have to wear a face covering, but we encourage you to wear one.   
• Everyone working at a social gathering must wear a face covering — this includes caterers, anyone serving food and drinks, performers and other staff. 
• Attendees must have ways to record their visit, such as a QR code poster for them to scan, or another safe and secure way to manually record their contact details. 
• The 100-person limit does not include workers providing services to a gathering.
