2 over 1 seminars: Note the session which was to be held on the Sunday 21st March will now be held on Saturday 20th March at 10.30am due to the Rangiora tournament being held on the Sunday.

Name Badges: last orders will be taken this week, see the foyer noticeboard for the options.

AGM Voting

Because there are seven candidates standing for only six positions on the committee, a vote will be required.

According to the Club’s constitution:

Rule 27:

(a) At all general meetings voting shall be on a show of hands or a ballot shall be conducted in such manner as the chairperson shall determine. In the event of any vote being tied the tie shall be resolved by another ballot.

(b) Two members (who are not nominees) appointed by the meeting shall act as scrutineers for the counting of votes and destruction of any voting papers.

(c) Notwithstanding the provisions of Rule 27 (a), in addition to voting at the actual annual general meeting for the election of officers and committee, a rolling ballot will be conducted in the one hour period preceding play at scheduled club sessions during the seven days immediately prior to the annual general meeting. All votes cast shall be deemed to have been made at the annual general meeting.

Thus if you are unable to attend the AGM the rolling ballot is available to you at all sessions beginning Thursday 18th March from 6.20 -7.20pm.
