Weekly Update 17/19-February-2021

There will be Bridge as normal as from Wednesday 17-Feb 11:59pm now that we have returned to Level 1. We will review this if necessary as updates come through from government next week. We encourage all members to follow COVID guidelines and visit their health centre if they exhibit any symptoms.

Thursday Afternoon Bridge:

Don’t forget to support our new session on a Thursday afternoon. Play starts at 1pm, no partner required.

South Island Teams results:

Christchurch was the place to be last weekend for 192 bridge players, along with the many involved with the event’s organisation. A turn-out of 48 teams was a wonderful number…..

Top Intermediate Team: Jo Hampton, Caroline Caseley, Sam Gurney and Tony Quinlivan.

Annual General Meeting: Thursday 25th March, 2021 at 6.30pm in the clubrooms.

Committee Nominations are now being asked for 2021. Nominations forms can be found at the club and close at midday on March 3rd.

2 over 1 seminars: Sundays Feb 28, Mar 7, 21 and Refresher Sunday April 18 at 10.30am. Tutor: Jane Skipper.

Education: The bridge teachers are contributing hand discussion articles to the website.
