Weekly Update 19-October-2023

Tuesday Afternoon session: New start time: 1pm from next Tuesday 17th October. $6 table fee until the end of the year.

No partner required.

Billets wanted for the National Bridge teachers conference being held at the club on the 11/12 November. Please let the office know if you can help.

Eftpos Slips: There are times when you have purchased an eftpos ticket and find you are unable to use it, maybe your partner didn’t turn up.

These tickets can be used at another session. To do so please mark clearly on the front of the ticket which session you are using this for and your name. Do not tear off the date at the bottom of the ticket which happened recently. The office then can allocate that $9 to the correct session.

Canterbury Charity Pairs – Saturday, 2 December 2023, being held at Crockfords Bridge Club, see below for flyers.

NOTE: you can play one or two sessions.

This year Crockfords Bridge Club is hosting the Canterbury Charity Pairs, with the Canterbury Charity Hospital the recipient of funds raised. We all know of Cantabrians who have been unable to access or afford life changing surgery in the public system, and the Charity Hospital helps many such people.
In order for as many bridge players as possible to support this fundraiser, we are hosting two separate events, both starting at 10:00am.
The 40C match is a single session finishing around 1:00pm. We hope this will cater for bridge players who wish to support this worthy cause but perhaps have neither the stamina nor time to commit to an entire day’s play.
The 3A match is the usual format of a morning and afternoon session starting at 10:00am and finishing about 4:30pm.
