passed away last Tuesday night aged 93. Charles joined the club on the 25th July, 1984 (40 years membership
this year)
Recognition was given to Charles who had given over 25 years of regular service as a card dealer, so we can enjoy duplicated boards. He spent 3 or 4 hours a week doing this as well as doing extra hours in the weekends for when tournaments are on or filling in when other dealers were are unable to come.
Charles was awarded the Club Volunteer Award in 2016 and made a Life Member of the Club in 2023. He was a valued club member and shall be sorely missed.
A celebration of Charles’s life will be held tomorrow Wednesday July 3rd at 11am at the Shirley Golf Club. If attending the celebration the family have asked for members to wear something colourful (i.e. not black)
