Congratulations to:

Leon Meier, first in the Auckland Easter 10A pairs tournament playing with Grant Jarvis.
John Skipper was re-elected to the NZ Bridge Board for a further 3 years.
Jenny Wilkinson, Shirley Newton and John Skipper being selected for the National Teams.

Sunday Bridge: The Christchurch Marathon is being held this Sunday so there will be road closures. Players wanting to play bridge this Sunday are asked to go to the Bealey Ave/Barbadoes St intersection to get access to the Club between 12.30pm and 1pm. Jan Stupples will be there to identify the Bridge Club players.

Security: Two cars were broken into last Thursday night, one was stolen and is yet to be recovered. The cars were parked on the street (not in our car park).

Please do not leave valuables in your cars AND consider carpooling, this:

Reduces the risk of members vehicles being targeted.
With the construction of high-density units in the neighbourhood there will be much “competition” for street parking.

Anniversary Pairs: Sunday 25th April, sponsored by John Rhind Funeral Directors. This is a handicapped tournament. Club grades are used for this tournament.
