CBC Update: COVID Status 11-March-2022
A member who played at the club last Wednesday 9th March has tested positive for COVID.
We have checked and found:
- That this member was well on Wednesday and had no symptoms at all.
- Further, this person wore a mask during session time and did not have supper in close proximity to any other member. In fact they had brought their own water bottle and drank that at supper time well away from other members.
- Our member has continued to do everything we could hope for. They’ve discussed their options with a medical professional and are now self-isolating for seven days as required.
- Their partner has been advised.
The CBC is NOT considered a place of interest and remains open. That does not mean we can guarantee to be COVID-free or that members are safe from catching the virus. Each person needs to assess the risk for themselves and make decisions about their attendance, taking into account their age, health-status and other risks of contracting the virus and possibly becoming very ill. If anyone is in doubt they should discuss this with their doctor or take advice from the Ministry of Health. As before mask-wearing is mandatory and anyone who is a close contact of a COVID case or with any sign of illness is asked to stay away.
Remember:
- As COVID numbers increase we need to take all due diligence when playing at the club.
- Please sanitise hands regularly and wear good quality well-fitted masks at all times.
- If you have a drink please do so away from the table or outside if conditions permit.
- The bar facilities will still be available after play for those who choose to stay.
