Booking to play in the Club sessions:
Restricted to 24 tables.
- Please EMAIL the club if you want to book a place for a session, preferably before 2pm on the day of the session (Thursday 2pm for the Friday session as well). Please do not ring the club.
- Bookings are only taken for the upcoming 7 days. Once you have played the session you had booked for, you can then book for the following session.
New Self Service EFTPOS machine: This is located at the bar and allows members to purchase a session ticket to play in that session using their EFTPOS card (no credit cards). You will receive an
EFTPOS receipt to keep and a
playing ticket to put on your table for the director to pick up. Thea will be available to help if required.
Old Debit Card system:
This will still be running for the next month or so to allow members to use their credit. Please DO NOT deposit any more funds into the club’s bank account.
Tournaments:
- Canterbury Regional Pairs: At this stage the tournament is still going ahead. There will be NO CATERING at all so players will need to bring all meals/snacks with them. The entry fee will be reduced and we will let the players know when that information comes to hand.
- CHCH Congress 19/20 Sept:
This tournament is also is still going ahead.
Wednesday Seminar: Shirley will be giving her monthly tutorial tonight at 5:45pm

Easter Bridge: Bridge as usual over the Easter Break including the Monday night session are open to all players. The Friday Rubber Bridge session for the 3rd April is postponed due to Easter. Senior Junior Teams: Date: Saturday 11 April In this tournament a Senior/Senior Reserve pair team up with an Intermediate/Junior pair. Seniors play seniors and juniors play juniors. Waitangi Day Bridge: is on this Friday. 10.20am start and bring your lunch. Friday Rubber Bridge: this Friday at the club at 6.30pm – 8.30pm. No partner required. All welcome. Entries close 1st March. National Teams Tournament: is being held here on the weekend 21/22 February. On-line entries close: Friday 13th Feb. She was a member for 55 years, bridge teacher, bridge representative at a local, national and international level - A Celebration of her life will be held at the Club this Thursday at 1.30pm.
