Congratulations to Leon Meier representing NZ in the NZ Men's Bridge Team in the upcoming Asia Cup in October.

The full team is Michael Ware (playing captain), Leon Meier, Jack James, Jeremy Fraser- Hoskin, Ashley Bach, Michael Cornell

Trophies:

Could the members who won trophies last year please return the trophies back to the club for engraving.

Secretary’s Plate: Tuesday night Senior event

New dates: The Secretary’s Plate (Teams Event) on a Tuesday night will now run for 3 weeks 13, 20, 27 September.

Please email the office your team entries. We are hoping for 10 teams.

Memorial: Peter John Oakley

Peter Oakley was a long term member of our club. He died two years ago during the start of COVID-19. His daughters are finally able to get back to New Zealand to hold a Memorial Service for him. They have asked the Bridge Club to post the following notice for any of his friends who would like to join them at the service.

"Memorial: Peter John Oakley

Peter's daughters, Gabby, Mary Ann and Abby, invite you to join them at his Memorial Service on Saturday 24 September 4pm at The Chateau on the Park, Deans Avenue, Christchurch."
