Club Donations to the Hawkes Bay Mayoral Flood Relief Fund
The club has raised $3,412 from member donations and the sale of socks. We would like to acknowledge Terri McFedries who made the generous donations of socks for our members to purchase, with all the income being donated.
Club Working Bee
This Saturday, 6 May from 10am - midday to have a general tidy up, e.g. pruning, weeding, getting the bark on.
Can helpers bring gloves, hoes, secateurs and a couple of wheelbarrows. Let the office know if you can help.

On tidying up the Gaiety Theatre after yesterday's 8B Tournament we found
• MacPac Black travel vest in a grey bag
• Dusky Pink Sistema water bottle
Lost:
Bright Orange water bottle with TAB on the side, last used just before the end of the day at the table by the exit doors to the carpark (it belongs to me - Anne)
If the items found are yours or you have inadvertently picked up the water bottle please contact me so arrangements can be made for their return.

We have 2 exciting events coming up, please let me know if you are interested in either.
2023 Youth Weekend 1-3 September in Christchurch
This event has moved to Winter Tournament week to hopefully allow secondary students to travel on the Friday and start the weekend Friday night and finish early afternoon on the Sunday. Registrations and further details to follow next week.
RealBridge U16 event Sunday 14 May 9pm start
What better way to finish Mother's Day than to play 16-18 boards against other youth players across Asia and Europe. No charge for this event and we can try and find you a partner.
Let me know any feedback or if you are starting to get too old for Youth Bridge.

This is a Club member only handicapped tournament. Please pay the entry fee $25 by this Thursday to allow the payments to be checked off. You can pay cash or use the EFTPOS at the Club (ask Thea) or pay on-line. Road Closures: Due to the Super Rugby round being held at the new stadium all this weekend, road closures will be in place. Roads will be closed on parts of Barbadoes Street, Madras Street between Hereford Street and St Asaph Street and streets close by around the stadium. Access to the Club will still be open but maybe allow more time to get there. Beginner Bridge Classes: The next class starts Monday 4th May at 7.30pm. Tutor: David Taylor. Please let your friends, family & work colleagues know. Daytime sessions: With a lot of new apartments in the area, there is an increase of children around. Can we ask when leaving the car park particularly for the daytime sessions that you keep the speed down when going down Nova Place. Canterbury Congress: 16/17 May: Competitions for all levels. Easter Bridge: Bridge as usual over the Easter Break including the Monday night session are open to all players. The Friday Rubber Bridge session for the 3rd April is postponed due to Easter. AGM: The Club’s AGM is being held tonight, Thursday 26th March at 6.30pm.
